Company position
Principle Owner

Tom Casal is the owner of Tactical Medical Inc., a Long Island–based medical device distribution company specializing in spine surgery. He has extensive experience in medical sales, business development, team leadership, and building long-term partnerships with surgeons, hospitals, healthcare organizations, and industry professionals throughout New York and Connecticut.

Tom enjoys helping fellow members through thoughtful introductions, particularly within the healthcare, medical device, legal, and business communities. He is also happy to share his experience in growing a business, developing sales teams, navigating distribution partnerships, expanding into new markets, and connecting people with trusted professionals in his network. He believes the strongest networking relationships are built by first looking for ways to help others.

Outside of his professional work, Tom and his wife, Michele, founded the Jackie Boy’s Crew Foundation six years ago to support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The foundation raises funds for local organizations and works closely with Special Olympics New York to expand inclusive athletic opportunities and programming for children with special needs. Its annual golf outing brings together members of the community, local businesses, and supporters around a mission that is deeply personal to Tom and his family.

Tom lives in Oceanside with his wife Michele and their three children. He values faith, family, community involvement, and developing genuine relationships with people who want to help one another succeed.

Interests

Outside of work, my greatest interests are faith, family, fitness, and service to my community. I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, coaching and supporting their sports, playing basketball and golf, and studying the Bible. I am especially passionate about advocating for individuals with Down syndrome and creating more inclusive opportunities for children with special needs through Jackie Boy’s Crew Foundation and Special Olympics New York. I also enjoy connecting with other business owners, learning from their experiences, and developing genuine relationships that extend beyond business.

Good lead

An ideal lead for Tactical is a warm introduction to an orthopedic spine surgeon or neurosurgeon who is interested in motion preservation, adopting new surgical technologies, or improving the support surrounding their spine procedures. Introductions to hospital or ambulatory surgery center leaders who are developing or expanding a spine program are also valuable. Additionally, Tom welcomes connections with personal injury attorneys who are interested in building relationships with trusted spine surgeons who can appropriately evaluate and care for their clients.
