In commenting on Fred’s blog on Saturday, I was reminded of a conversation I recently had with a young lawyer in our firm. 

I  told her that a good lawyer learns something new every single day. The law is constantly changing, clients always bring new stories, and just when you think you have seen it all, something comes along to prove you wrong.

I think that philosophy also applies to everyone, not just lawyers. Whether it is learning a new skill, discovering a different perspective, or finally figuring out how to use a feature on your phone, there is always something new to learn. The day we stop learning is the day we stop growing.
